  1. I have my ear to the ground in google search for spiritual abuse. That is how I found your site. We have just come out of a church situation where a year ago we realized that we were involved in almost a cult like situation. My daughter who is 22 was the most hurt and is telling her story on a blog My Story – http://willyoulistentomystory.blogspot.com/ She has dealt with depression quite a bit and I thought that the two of you might want to meet as much that you have said here is like her story too. Be forwarned, she is very raw right now and just starting to believe that God is good again.

Another site that we found so helpful is http://www.lifestream.org. You can download a book for free, “So you don’t want to go to church anymore” and even though the title sounds anti-church it helped us process so much. His book of, “He Loves Me” was laced with so much grace that it brought so much healing to our lives of striving to please our leadership. And of course, “The Shack” cannot be beaten to describe the loving Father that we have.

Anyway, good to meet you. Will add you to my blogroll to continue to read your journey. There are so many sites on my list on my blog where I have been helped in other people’s journeys. Check them out when you have time.
