My mother in law passed away last night. The family made the difficult choice to remove life support when complications made it clear that she wasn’t going to be able to ever come off of the ventilator that was keeping her alive.
We will be gone over the next several days for the funeral services, and to be with family.

I am so sorry to hear this Heidi. Thinking of you and your family.
I must say I got a bit of a shock when i read this and your previous post. My mother -in-law, whose name was also Rita, passed away from breast cancer, which had spread to her lungs. It just brought everything back again. Thinking of you.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words and prayers. We are home and tired. We are going to miss Rita for a long time to come. She was a huge part of our lives.
Haley, I’m so sorry about your mother in law also. Amazing how even their names are the same.
