Sisters
I’ve been having some trouble with my hands, so I haven’t been braiding M’s hair too much this winter. But finally I thought I’d just put in a few french braids (instead of the many small cornrows we usually do).
Her little sister A wanted her hair braided too. It only took a few minutes for the little one, and a good 30 for big sister (her hair is so much thicker). The cornrows take 4 to 6 hours depending on how many we put in, so this was easier on all of us. ![]()
Here they are, sitting at the computer, but watching the TV. ????

They’ll be getting old enough to do each other’s hair soon, yes? Problem solved!
It’s all we can do to get our youngest (by a minute) to even run a brush through her hair. And she wants long hair! But not while she has that attitude…

This is one of the days I’m glad I have boys.

Wow. I wish I knew how to do that. My daughter keeps asking me, but I can’t seem to figure it out.
I would do french braids over six hour cornrows anyday!!!
Nice work, Heidi!

I still suck at french braids….am far to hamfisted to get it right.

Heidi,
You did a great job with these French Braids! I can tell, you have an artistic hand!
Blessings,

Jim, that is the great hope, that they will be able to help each other. M does her little sister’s hair sometimes in a lot of little braids. Too cute.
Erin, I agree. Boys are much easier… even if they grow their hair long, they usually just let it hang or put it in a pony tail
Michelle, the little cornrows are really cute too. Here is a link to a ‘do’ I put in M’s hair awhile back with braids and beads. http://hisfool.com/Gallery/Megan-and-Doll
Melody, I learned to French Braid by practicing on my sister’s dolls, tee hee. She returned the favor by cutting all my dolls hair so they could be ‘boys’ for hers. My mom wouldn’t let us have boy dolls… did she think this was better?
Awww, thanks Amy.

We guys sure do have it easy when it comes to hair. About 30 seconds and…DONE!
I admire the patience you have for fixing the hair of these girls. Gotta respect that!!

Thanks for the link. Where are you, girl? Keep stopping by and no sign of you.
Praying. Love you!

I think I fell off the earth for awhile, Michelle. I’m working on climbing back on.

I’ll keep praying. I know how hard it is to climb back on. Sometimes I just have to stop climbing and rest a while…a LONG while.

Just wanted to say Heidi. I hope you are doing well. Love you. I’ve been “away” from the living, breathing world for a while too. I know how it feels. If you want, email me holyghostgirl81@hotmail.com, anytime. I’m here for you. Lots of love XO
